The historic Wharf Master's Inn is a very special place, and is unlike any location in Mendocino County California. From here, you can see migrating whales, harbor seals, and migrating birds such as tundra swans, black cormorants, pelicans and swallows. In addition wild flowers are abundant, and the bluffs above our hotel have some of the rarest coastal varieties in the country. Wharf Master's Hotel welcomes artists, divers, nature lovers, & couples while  providing inspiration, world class diving, acres of unspoiled nature, and abundant romance, just off Pacific Coast Highway One 1.

The entire inn (23 luxurious rooms and two suites) can be rented at special rates in order to accommodate family and friends or your whole group, affording the utmost in privacy. Many utilize the hotel for wedding receptions as well. The beautifully landscaped outdoor center courtyard provides enough square footage and adequate seating and food preparation space for large outdoor events. The Wharf Masters House can be rented out for this or any occasion.

The historic Wharf Master's House was built in 1865. It features many fine architectural detail prevalent in mid-nineteenth century buildings. No expense was spared in the construction of this home as the attention to detail was impeccable, and remains to this day the oldest home in Point Arena. The Wharf Master’s house is a Victorian style house with three bedrooms and four queen size beds that can sleep up to eight, a full kitchen, formal dining room with antique furniture, living room with satellite TV and a spa room with a two person Jacuzzi and fireplace. The house has two decks and a private balcony which has a panoramic ocean view.

The sheltered location of the Wharf Master's Inn makes it an ideal destination any time of the year. Our luxurious rooms feature fireplaces, two person spa tubs, four post feather beds, private balconies, satellite television, and more.
